As we move into the spring season, and the snow is melting....we are very proud to add GRM to our Community Center Sponsor Board, GRM sponsored the community center by providing snow clearing and sanding services this winter. THANKS to GRM we are to re-direct funds to continue to maintain our beloved community hall for recreational uses and community events.
RE/MAX Centre City Realty have announced that they are giving $120,000.00 to the Blackburn Bike Park!!!
We also want to give thanks to Yellowhead Rotary Club for their commitment and Jordie Hoover Holdings for a major commitment.
At Monday night’s council meeting, members of the Blackburn community proposed some upgrades for Blackburn Park. The community has received the go ahead from council to convert the asphalt space into an all-ages bike park. The park is proposed to be completed by June of 2018 and will be 58 metres by 26 metres. The project will be funded by money raised, not from council.
